Another finished quilt!

Ok so this one was a team effort between me and my mother. She bought the fabric, came up with the plan and cut it all out. I just put it together then created a backing with the remaining fabric. It is so incredibly cute!

We started this back in February when I was out of work recovering from my surgery. Then we stopped. My mother was supposed to get it together but she doesn't have the same passion for quilting that I do. So, two weekends ago I went over and got all the fabric and made a mad dash to get it done. I had 1 week left to get it done since my brother's baby shower was this past Saturday. 

Well I got it done! With a day or two to spare too! We brought it to the baby shower and they loved it! It makes me really happy when I came and gift a quilt and the person actually loves it. 

Anyway, here it is! Keep in mind I'm not perfect so there are imperfections in the quilt. BUT beauty is in the imperfections, right!?! :)

Finally won something!

I've been doing fabric giveaways and all kinds of quilting giveaways and have found some amazing blogs in the process. I'm currently doing a blogger's quiltalong and each month they do some kind of giveaway. Well, I won one! I won this amazing curve ruler. I really wanted this one because I wanted to join in on Sew Kind of Wonderful's Curve It Up quiltalong. Now I can! :)
